===== Requirements =====

Ensure you're following the 'Direct to Phone' Requirements.

===== Preface =====

  * This MWI method allows for assigning static IPs to individual mailbox.
    * This is the preferred method for SIP endpoint Gateways
    * This is the preferred method for mailboxes that use several physical phones.
  * If any on-site changes are made to the physical phone resulting in a different MAC address for the extension. This will require changes in the DuVoice configuration, accordingly.

===== Endpoint Configuration =====

One of these, or a combination of both of these, can be used for a single DuVoice site.

==== SIP Phone Configuration ====

  * Requires the phones to be assigned a static IP address.
    * This information will require exporting into a list.
      * We'll refer to this as ''<phone-ip>'' in the DuVoice configuration below.

==== SIP Gateway Configuration ====

  * Requires the gateways to be assigned a static IP address.
    * This information will require exporting into a list.
      * We'll refer to this as ''<gateway-ip>'' in the DuVoice configuration below.
  * If the gateway maps a single IP address to a single phone, this is the ideal scenario.
    * If it uses a port number instead. The DuVoice configuration will require this information.
      * We'll refer to this as ''<gateway-port>'' in the DuVoice configuration below.
  * All of this information will need to be organized so that it maps to the correct extension number so the correct MWI updates can be sent to the correct extension.

==== Mailbox Configuration ====

For this to work, we need to enter the IP address of the phone (or gateway IP and port) within the mailbox's configuration.

=== CSV Import ===

For more information on the CSV import process [[vs8:vsconfig:file:importcsv|here]].

  - Configure the MWI address into the 'MWI 0' column to the CSV file:
    - For a SIP phone configure it like this example:
      - 123@192.168.0.123 
        - Replace the ''123'' with the ''<phone-ext>''.
        - Replace the ''192.168.0.123'' with the ''<phone-ip>''.
        - Keep in mind that this information needs to be in the same row as the appropriate mailbox.
    - For a SIP gateway configure it like this example:
      - 123@192.168.0.123:5003 
        - Replace the ''123'' with the ''<phone-ext>''.
        - Replace the ''192.168.0.123'' with the ''<gateway-ip>''.
        - Replace the ''5003'' with the ''<gateway-port>''.
        - Keep in mind that this information needs to be in the same row as the appropriate mailbox.

=== Manual Configuration ===

  - Log in to the desktop of the DuVoice server.
  - Open the 'DV2000 Manager' application.
  - Click on the 'Mailbox' drop down option.
  - Click on the 'Management' option.
    - The 'mailboxes' window will open.
  - Navigate to the mailbox to be modified.
  - Double click on it to edit.
    - The individual mailbox will open.
  - Click on the 'MWI' option on the left.
  - Configure the MWI address into the 'Address' column for 'Position' 0 like the following:
    - For a SIP phone configure it like this example:
      - 123@192.168.0.123 
        - Replace the ''123'' with the ''<phone-ext>''.
        - Replace the ''192.168.0.123'' with the ''<phone-ip>''.
        - Keep in mind that this information needs to be in the same row as the appropriate mailbox.
    - For a SIP gateway configure it like this example:
      - 123@192.168.0.123:5003 
        - Replace the ''123'' with the ''<phone-ext>''.
        - Replace the ''192.168.0.123'' with the ''<gateway-ip>''.
        - Replace the ''5003'' with the ''<gateway-port>''.
  - Click 'ok' to save changes, and close the window.
